When connecting the unit to Bluetooth speakers or headphones for the first time, you must pair the device with this unit in advance. The information of the paired device is registered to this unit during pairing, so you do not need to pair them again.

Press and hold the Bluetooth button (

) on this unit for approximately 2 seconds.

The Bluetooth indicator flashes red and blue alternately to indicate pairing mode.

Set the Bluetooth-compatible speakers or headphones into pairing mode.

Once the Bluetooth indicator flashes blue and pairing with this unit is complete, they can be connected via Bluetooth. When a Bluetooth connection is made then the unit will light up in the following colors depending on the Bluetooth codec.

Blue：SBC

Purple：aptX/aptX HD/aptX Adaptive

For instructions on how to enter pairing mode, refer to the instructions for the devices to be connected.

If the connected Bluetooth speakers or headphones are compatible with aptX, aptX HD or aptX Adaptive, they will connect automatically using the supported aptX codec. If supporting multiple aptX codecs, devices will automatically connect in the order of aptX Adaptive → aptX HD → aptX.

Pairing may take some time depending on the device being connected.

The unit connects to the nearest Bluetooth speakers or headphones. If the Bluetooth speakers or headphones cannot be detected after approximately 3 minutes in pairing mode, the Bluetooth indicator will turn to solid red and switch the Bluetooth connection to waiting mode.

This unit can be paired with up to eight Bluetooth speakers or headphones. When pairing a 9th device, it will replace the oldest device and be registered as that.

By pressing and holding the Bluetooth volume button (+) and the Bluetooth volume button (-) simultaneously for about 10 seconds, the Bluetooth indicator flashes red twice, and all paired device information registered with this unit is erased.

The audio signal is output from the PHONO OUT terminals even when connected using Bluetooth.

NOTE

If pressing the Bluetooth ( ) button while playing a record, that vibration may cause the needle to jump. It is recommended to establish a Bluetooth connection before playing a record.

Adjusting the Bluetooth volume

Press Bluetooth volume buttons (+, –) to adjust the Bluetooth volume.

You can also adjust the volume using the volume control functions of your Bluetooth speakers or headphones.

NOTE

When using an MC cartridge, the Bluetooth output level is lower than when using an MM cartridge.

You may not be able to adjust the volume, depending on the Bluetooth standards of the connected device.
